Exceptions to the rule...

We are closed for the following holidays:

  • Memorial Day
  • 4th of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Weekend (Thursday - Sunday)
  • Christmas Holidays (usually Dec 25th - Jan 1st, but may be longer depending on how holidays fall on the calendar)

Winter Weather Hours: If it is icy, snowy etc, we will try to be open from 10:00 - 4:00 or what the roads will allow. If in doubt, please feel free to call us at 828-693-3191. After all, we are far enough north to get snow, but too far south to want to deal with it.

Driving Directions

From Asheville

  • Take I-26 East toward Hendersonville
  • Take exit 44 for US-25
  • Turn right onto Asheville Hwy (6.3 mi)
  • Turn right onto N Church St (0.7 mi)
  • Turn right onto Kanuga Rd (0.5)
  • Go around the "Busy Bend" and The Starving Artist will be on the Left, located next door to Shell gas station on corner of Hebron & Kanuga.

From Brevard

  • Take US 276-N/US 64- E toward Hendersonville
  • Turn right onto Old Hendersonville Hwy
  • Turn right onto Everett Rd (3.2 mi)
  • Turn right onto Crab Creek Rd (turns into Kanuga Rd)              (13 mi)
  • The Starving Artist will be on the Right, located next door to Shell gas station on corner of Hebron & Kanuga.

Or

  • Take US 64-E toward Hendersonville (17 mi)
  • Turn Right on Church St (0.7 mi)
  • Turn Right on Kanuga Rd  (0.5 mi)
  • Go around the "Busy Bend" and The Starving Artist will be on the Left, located next door to Shell gas station on corner of Hebron & Kanuga.

From South Carolina

  • From Greenville, take Hwy 25 North to North Carolina
  • From Spartanburg, take I 26 West to o North Carolina, then merge onto Hwy 25 North

  • Take exit 7 for US 176 N toward US 25
  • (0.2 mi)
  • Keep left at the fork, follow signs for E Flat Rock/Hendersonville (79 ft)
  • Turn left onto US-176 W/Spartanburg Hwy
  • (4.8 mi)
  • Turn left onto NC-225 S (407 ft)
  • Turn right onto White St (0.2 mi)
  • Turn left onto Kanuga Rd
  • The Starving Artist will be on the Left, located next door to Shell gas station on corner of Hebron & Kanuga.
